The National Testing Agency (NTA) has removed more than 50 staff members and begun a major overhaul of its examination system after errors were found in three UGC-NET papers. The agency has also started hiring professionals for key positions, including test security, cybersecurity, psychometrics and technology, as it faces criticism from students and opposition parties over the decision to conduct a re-test.
The NTA's move came a day after it announced that the UGC-NET examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology would be conducted again. The English and Commerce papers will be held on September 9, while Sociology will be conducted on September 10.
