A 19-year-old man has faced the ACT Magistrates Court, charged over his alleged role in the murder of a man in Canberra's south last year.

Glenn Walewicz, 48, was shot dead at his front door in Philip in June, 2021.

Jayden Williams was arrested by police in the New South Wales town of Glen Innes earlier in the week, and was extradited to the ACT to face charges of accessory after the fact to murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

He did not apply for bail this morning, and it was formally refused.

He is the sixth person arrested in relation to the alleged murder of Mr Walewicz.

Mr Williams will return to court in July.

Over the past weeks, police have made five other arrests in relation to the case. Three three people have been charged with murder, and another two with accessory after the fact.

One of the arrests included a boy who was 12 years old at the time of Mr Walewicz's death. He was charged with joint commission murder as well as attempted aggravated burglary.
