NSW disaster agency introduced amid floods

The NSW government is introducing legislation to create a Reconstruction Authority tasked with providing a leaner response to natural disaster management as the state suffers through ongoing floods.

Premier Dominic Perrottet says the permanent agency will be dedicated to preparing NSW for disaster, as well as recovery and reconstruction efforts.
