Novak Djokovic has expressed concern about his knee as he gears up to face Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals of the men’s singles tennis tournament in Paris. The Serbian player had suffered a meniscus tear at Roland Garros earlier this year, leading to his withdrawal from the French Open. Despite this setback, Djokovic managed to make it to the final at Wimbledon, where he was defeated by Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.
Following his victory over Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals, Djokovic admitted his worries about the state of his knee. He mentioned experiencing sharp pain at the beginning of the second set, which persisted for several games. Djokovic stated that he lacked precise information about his knee's condition and planned to undergo an examination with his physiotherapist and the tournament's medical team to assess the situation.
Despite the concerns, the 37-year-old remains optimistic about his ability to compete in the upcoming semifinal match. Djokovic expressed hope that he would be ready to take on Musetti later in the day.
