I can’t state strongly enough that this was “just” a group game, but also, I can’t state strongly enough how well Sinner played. There was no drop-off, he was devastating and brave throughout, and Djokovic served like an animal. Loads of players can hang with the best at their best, for a bit; only top players can sustain that through a match. Sinner has set his level now.
