Notts County predicted line-up vs Maidenhead as John Bostock debut expected to be delayed

Notts County travel to Maidenhead on Saturday in hope of replicating their opening-day victory and extending their 12-game unbeaten run in the National League.

The Magpies produced a 3-0 victory at Meadow Lane to start the campaign, with Macaulay Langstaff netting a brace and Joel Taylor firing a superb strike beyond Daniel Gyollai to round off a perfect afternoon.

And following their 4-1 victory over Scunthorpe last weekend, Luke Williams' side returned to the top of the table following York City's late equaliser against Wrexham.

It has also been a busy week off the field, with Notts confirming the signing of experienced midfielder John Bostock, bolstering their options for the rest of the campaign.

While many Magpies fans will be itching to see the 30-year-old pull on the black and white, Bostock explained he was 'pretty close' to full fitness which could see him miss the trip to York Road.

Speaking to the clubs official YouTube channel, Bostock said: "I think I am pretty close. I have to give credit to the club across the river because they gave me the facilities to train with their under-21s for three months, which was brilliant.

"When you are not with a club it's difficult to stay motivated and train by yourself every single day. The last three weeks with County has set me in really good stead - whenever the manager sees fit, I will do my best when called upon."

With Luke Williams confirming that Connell Rawlinson would be absent from this weekend's squad in his latest injury update, the back three will remain the same with Geraldo Bajrami providing that extra defensive cover should it be required.

Another welcome boost for the Magpies could be the inclusion of Aaron Nemane. The Frenchman has missed the last three games, with Williams confirming he was working the 25-year-old back to full fitness after an intense start to the campaign.

"We have to make sure with Aaron that he is 100% right when he goes back in," explained Williams.

"The type of actions that Aaron makes in the same way as Tobi and Chicks do, they are explosive actions and of course they need to cover the whole outside of the pitch.

"They have to cover huge amounts of distance during a game, but we need to make sure it is right for Aaron and right now he is in a very good place and training very well."

A performance that caught they eye last week was that of Quevin Castro who on his third league start, netted his third goal of the campaign.

His height was an obvious tactical play from Williams to combat the aerial presence the Iron possessed, and on a number of occasions showcased his strength and trickery to keep possession under pressure.

Following last week's performance it would be unfair to drop any of the starting XI, which is why I believe Williams will stick with the same side that won comfortably at Glanford Park.

Notts predicted line-up - Slocombe; Cameron, Baldwin, Brindley, Adebayo-Rowling, Chicksen; Palmer, O'Brien; Rodrigues, Castro, Langstaff.

SUBS: Nemane, Bajrami, Austin, Scott, Mitchell.
