Notts County player ratings vs Yeovil Town as Magpies snatch last-gasp draw

Notts County rescued a point to avoid suffering back to back defeats as Alex Lacey's stoppage-time goal snatched a 1-1 draw against Yeovil.

Alex Bradley had given the visitors the lead when he struck into an unguarded net after a poor backpass from Ed Francis had caused panic in the Notts defence.

Notts did have chances to score in the first half as Ruben Rodrigues and Kyle Wootton went close, but that was as good as it got for head coach Ian Burchnall's side.

Notts attempted to launch a response late on and finally found the breakthrough when Lacey headed in Matt Palmer's free-kick in stoppage time.

Here Leigh Curtis rates the players.

Vitezsalv Jaros: Had very little to do in the first half other than use his feet and his distribution was mixed. Couldn't do much about the Yeovil goal as he was forced into a situation, not of his own making. 5

Jayden Richardson: The effort was there but despite some penetrating runs, he couldn't quite serve up a final ball that would have made the most of some good positions. A poor afternoon by his standards. 4.

Connell Rawlinson: He may not have the ability that Richard Brindley has on the ball, but gives you extra feet and inches in return. A solid return to the starting 11. 5

Kyle Cameron: The skipper suffered a frustrating afternoon during which he was taken off in the first half after he pulled up in a foot race. A big blow for the Magpies. 5

Adam Chicksen: Nearly created an opening goal with a powerful cross-shot towards goal which Kyle Wootton looked set to score from until it was blocked. Struggled in the second half. 5

Matt Palmer: The former Burton Albion man fought his way through this game in the heart of midfield and is undoubtedly the most accurate passer in the team. Grabbed himself an assist. 5

Ed Francis: Calamitous backpass led Yeovil to score the opener and was just unaware of what was behind him. Distribution was mixed too. Needed to be more switched on. 4

Eli Sam: Started well and came so close with an excellent long-range strike that wasn't far away from finding the top corner. Influence faded after that and got involved in a needless melee in the second half. 4

Ruben Rodrigues: Should have hit the target with a diving header after a peach of a cross from Cal Roberts and suffered a frustrating afternoon in that respect. 5

Callum Roberts: The player most likely to create opportunities in open play. Delivered a couple of superb crosses into the box that Notts failed to make the most of. 5

Kyle Wootton: Ploughed away upfront but without much joy. Did come close with an effort he turned goalwards, but it was blocked. Tough day. 4

Subs

Alex Lacey (Cameron 27): Did the basics well and struck the all-important equaliser. 6

Dion Kelly-Evans (Richardson 57): Sent on to give Notts a fresh pair of legs at right-back, but change didn't have the desired effect. 4

Kairo Mitchell (Francis 80): Sent on to try to find an equaliser, but impact was limited. 4
