A robber who stamped on his victims, leaving one with a serious eye injury, has been jailed. John Shooter, of no fixed address, was locked up for eight years, and handed two-and-a-half years on extended licence.
Nottingham Crown Court heard he robbed a man in Leeming Street, Mansfield, on March 16 last year after he withdrew cash from a machine. He was kicked to his head and body and stamped on, leaving an impression of his footwear on his forehead.
Shooter, who was born on December 2, 1992, and is aged 30, escaped with his wallet, leaving the man numb and traumatised as he stumbled into a pub.
