A Nottinghamshire road has been closed after high winds caused a large tree to overhang it. Brickyard Lane in West Leake has been temporarily closed by Nottinghamshire County Council after adverse weather conditions on the evening of Thursday, January 12.
The powerful winds overnight caused a large willow tree to be damaged, with one limb then overhanging the road. The road has been closed between Woodgate Road and Trowell Lane.
On Twitter, Nottinghamshire County Council said: "Road Closure - Brickyard Lane, West Leake.

"High winds overnight have caused a large willow tree to split causing one limb to overhang the road. Officers from @viaeastmidlands have temporarily closed Brickyard Lane between Woodgate Road and Trowell Lane."
