Police have confirmed both motorcycle riders who were involved in a crash on the A52 in Nottingham are 'recovering well'. A man was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a collision between a car and a motorbike on Clifton Bridge, Clifton Boulevard, just before 3.45pm on Friday, August 19.
A female rider also received treatment for injuries after the incident, which led to a closure between Clifton Boulevard and the Nottingham Knight Island on the A52 carriageway heading towards the Queen’s Medical Centre. In an update issued on Monday (August 22) a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said both riders were "recovering well".
"Enquiries are ongoing into exactly what happened," he continued. Drivers were urged to avoid travelling through the area while the emergency services responded to the incident. Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 498 of August 19.
