Nottinghamshire Police has issued a statement after a major city road was partially closed following a crash. Police and paramedics were called to Huntingdon Street on Saturday morning, March 4, with a large police cordon being put in place.
People working nearby at the time of the crash recalled seeing a woman being treated by paramedics whilst laying in the middle of the road. Sergeant Craig Luckett, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Huntingdon Street, Nottingham city centre, at around 10am today (4 March), following reports of a serious road collision.
“Road closures currently remain in place in King Edward Street to prevent traffic coming up Huntingdon Street. Inquiries are still ongoing into this incident, so we’d ask anyone who saw what happened or has any other information to call the police on 101, quoting incident 232 of 4 March 2023.”
Huntingdon Street is closed for drivers travelling north on the road between King Edward Street and Great Freeman Street, with some neighbouring roads affected.
