Police cordoned off a street in Mapperley following an incident involving a car and a motorbike. Officers were called to Porchester Road just after 10am on Tuesday (May 24).
A man was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident, the force confirmed. Detectives remain at the scene as an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.
A temporary police cordon has been in place. The traffic in the area has been affected as a result.

Inspector Abi Goucher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Porchester Road, Mapperley, at around 10.05am today (24 May 2022), following reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike.
“A man was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident. Officers remain at the scene as an investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened and a temporary police cordon has been set up while this takes place.
"Porchester Road is currently closed from Mapperley Top to the junction with Sandford Road. We would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information or dash-cam footage that could assist us with our enquiries, to get in touch with the police immediately.”
The community in the area have voiced their shock at the aftermath. Paul Randall, 56, who is self employed and lives off Porchester Road said: “I’m shocked by it all.”
Daniel Rufaizal, 26, student at the Recovery College, added: “It’s usually a fairly safe road, never seen anything like this before here. Even if it’s busy cars are usually careful.”
Abbie Howitt, 23, student at the nearby Recovery College, said: "It’s a fairly depressing thing to see in the morning.”
