Four stolen vehicles and a shotgun were recovered by Nottinghamshire Police. Road crime team officers attended an address in Screverton at around 1.40pm on Tuesday, October 18, after a trailer that had been reported missing from Costock was spotted in a field by a police drone.
Further searches were then carried out in the rural area of Rushcliffe, where three additional stolen vehicles were found in and around the area, including two road rollers that had been reported missing from Lincolnshire and a van that had been taken from Yorkshire.
Officers also recovered a shotgun, ammunition, and power tools worth around £5,000. All of the vehicles were examined before being handed back to their rightful owners, and detectives are continuing their investigation.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Rob Lawton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Crime in our rural communities has a significant impact for those who live, work and visit these areas. We remain focussed on working closely with our communities and partners to identify offenders and reduce rural crime.
“This was an excellent example of officers from across the force coming together and showing determination which resulted in us uncovering far more than the stolen trailer they had set out to recover.” Anyone with additional information regarding the incident should call 101 and quote incident 333 of 18 October, 2022.
