Nottinghamshire Police M1 statement as J25 slip road closed after incident

Drivers are being warned to avoid Junction 25 of the M1 after a police incident. The northbound exit slip road near Nottingham was closed at about 5am on Friday, April 28, with traffic monitoring website Inrix stating there is currently 'heavy traffic' in the area.

Police are currently at the scene as an investigation takes place into the incident. A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Drivers are being warned the slip road at Junction 25 of the M1 northbound is currently closed due to a police incident. Please avoid the area if possible."

A spokesperson for Highways England added: "The M1 J25 exit slip road near Nottingham remains closed due to a Police Led Incident. Notts Police remain on scene while investigations take place. There are no current delays on approach to this."
