A Nottinghamshire man says he has been having a nightmare with courier Evri after a parcel he sent arrived pieces. Tony Shaw, from Stapleford, sold a van part online, only for it to be damaged by the time it arrived in Darlington, County Durham, on Thursday, April 6.
The 55-year-old said it was "absolutely ridiculous". Evri issued him a refund but said the parcel was poorly packaged, something Mr Shaw denies.
He had agreed to a £50 sale of a fibre glass rear bumper on Facebook Marketplace, with £19 for delivery. "It's turned into a nightmare," he said.

"I spent £19 to send it to Darlington and when he received it it was smashed to pieces. They've got no respect for any parcels and I can't get through to customer services.
When approached by Nottinghamshire Live, a spokesperson for Evri said its customer services team had been in touch with Mr Shaw and apologised. "However the item he sent is prohibited from being sent using our service as well as being above the weight and size dimensions permitted for our network (it was not the size and weight he gave us when booking the delivery)," they said.
"It was also extremely poorly packaged. However, we have paid compensation to Mr Shaw as a gesture of goodwill on this occasion.”
Mr Shaw refuted the statement. He added: "It was packed really well but when it got there it was absolutely smashed to pieces.
"It would have took some breaking. It seems everything we have is smashed, wrecked, or something else. I try to avoid having anything from them now. It's absolutely ridiculous."
