A Nottinghamshire man has been jailed for five years after a horror crash which cut the life of a new mum "far too short." Tara Green, 32, died on December 12 in 2020 after a crash on the A158 between Lincoln and Horncastle.
Her Vauxhall Mokka collided with a Ford Mondeo being driven by 62-year-old Victor Grimmer, of Main Street in Huthwaite. A Lincoln Crown Court trial heard how Miss Green's car rotated 180 degrees, left the carriageway and landed in a field on its side following the collision, just after 5.45pm.
Miss Green died at the scene whilst the front-seat passenger suffered extremely serious and life-changing injuries. Grimmer was also given a three year sentence for causing serious injury to Miss Green's partner, which will run alongside his current sentence, Lincolnshire Live reports.
