Police are investigating an unprovoked attack on a girl at a Nottinghamshire skatepark that was uploaded to social media. A 14-year-old girl was assaulted at Rainworth Skatepark just after 1pm on Saturday, April 8.
A video of the attack, which left her with a black eye and bruising to her face, has appeared on social media. Police have spoken with the victim’s mum and a statement is set to be taken from the victim this week.
Inspector David Platt said: "This must have been truly horrific for the victim and her family and we are taking this incident extremely seriously.”
Rainworth Skatepark is situated off Rufford Colliery Lane, via Kirklington Road in the north of Rainworth. It consists of a concrete skatepark featuring an open bowl and plaza.
