Nottinghamshire firm stops collecting aid for Ukraine after swastika daubed on sign

A swastika symbol has been spray painted on a sign directing people into a Nottinghamshire industrial estate, shocking the owners who had been collecting supplies for Ukraine. A sign for Spray-Tech, situated on Boughton Industrial Estate was vandalised in the early hours of Monday morning (21 March).

Owner Alan Weston, from Boughton, arrived at the estate at around 7:30am and the 55-year-old spotted the graffiti straight away, saying that it was unmissable. The swastika was sprayed on backwards.

He said: "I was the first to drive past it, it caught my eye and I got out and touched it. I took it straight down as it's disrespectful and because the paint was still a bit wet I was able to take it off. I didn't expect to see it and it makes me wonder why people are doing it. The sign is back up and no one has done anything since thankfully."
