The fire service has issued a statement after crews were called to Nottingham city centre.
Two fire engines were spotted near a restaurant in Upper Parliament Street on Wednesday (February 9).
Fire engines from the Stockhill and London Road fire stations were called out just before 4pm.
However, a spokesperson from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue confirmed that it was just a false alarm.
They said: "One fire engine from London Road and two from Stockhill were called at 3.45pm on Upper Parliament Street, but it was just a false alarm.
"Two fire engines remained at the scene, but they will not be there for much longer."
