A drug dealer was hiding wraps of cocaine behind a dashboard panel in his car, police said. Sanyar Bakhshudeh, 21, was driving a black Ford Fiesta when he was seen by members of Nottinghamshire Police’s knife crime team in the Radford area of Nottingham on October 1 last year.
Acting on their suspicions, officers followed the car before stopping it in Highurst Street. Police said that when the car was searched, officers found 22 deal bags of cocaine concealed behind a panel on the central console of the vehicle.
Bakhshudeh, formerly of Kettleband Close, Bingham, was arrested and went on to plead guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of cannabis between October 6 and October 10, in 2020.

Bakhshudeh, who also admitted to breaching a suspended sentence order, was jailed for a total of four years and one month. He appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Monday, June 6 along with another drug dealer – 23-year-old Amman Din Mohammed.
Mohammed, formerly of Dennis Avenue, Beeston, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis between October 6 and October 10 in 2020, according to police. He also admitted possession with intent to supply MDMA, a Class A drug, on October 9, in 2020.
Police said Mohammed ran from a car which police had stopped in the Lenton area of Nottingham on October 9, 2020. He was detained by a police dog after a brief chase and discarded a package of drugs before he was captured.
He was locked up for a total of three years and four months. Chief Inspector Karl Thomas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Drug dealing is a very serious matter which ruins lives.
"The effects are felt far and wide and this type of criminality is often linked to violence, weapon offences and acquisitive crime. With Bakhshudeh and Mohammed now off our streets that's two fewer dealers blighting our neighbourhoods.
“As a force, we are determined to root out drug dealers who seek to exploit the vulnerabilities of users and their addictions for their own selfish financial gain. I hope these sentences act as a deterrent and a warning to other drug dealers that we will continue to do everything we can to track them down and bring them to justice.”
Police urged people who are aware of drug dealing or suspicious activity in their neighbourhood to call 101. People can also report crimes through Nottinghamshire Police’s Live Chat feature, which is available 7am to 10pm seven days a week, via the force’s website.
