An independent bar is warning customers that 'it's back to use us or lose us' as the cost of living crisis continues. The Atrium Bar and Kitchen in Radcliffe-On-Trent has shared its concerns for independent businesses and called on the community to shop local.
In a Facebook post, staff said: "It’s a sad state of affairs, folks. It’s back to use us or lose us.
"And that goes for all our Nottingham independents and creatives. Nottingham is renowned for its independent venues but due to soaring inflation, increases in wages, massive hikes in both energy and food costs, we are at risk of losing so many brilliant places.
"We don’t have the buying power of the big boys, but we do have the support of our wonderful communities, so thank you. But more than ever, we need you."
Alongside the statement was an image that read: "It's no joke that 57% of the UK's small businesses are at risk of closure in 2023 - don't be a fool: shop small this April."
