The unpredictability of the British weather can bring joy and misery in equal amounts. Easter's unexpectedly high temperatures brought out the barbecues and garden furniture as Notts enjoyed the highest temperatures of the year so far, but the thermometer has dipped after that burst of 'summer'.
The week ahead doesn't get close to the Easter pop of heat we all enjoyed but we can expect an afternoon of bright and warm weather on Wednesday, April 20, even if the day starts partly cloudy, according to the Met office. Maximum temperature will be around 17 degrees but it will become breezy overnight as cloud returns.
After the burst of mid-week sun, Thursday to Saturday will get progressively cooler. Temperatures will reach a high of 15 degrees on Thursday, April 21, dipping to 13 degrees on Friday, before rising slightly on Saturday but still only reaching a high of around 14 degrees.

If you have plans for the weekend which depend upon the weather, the Met office predicts that Saturday will be overcast changing to sunny intervals by early evening, while Sunday will be 13 degrees and sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon.
It's good news for hayfever sufferers though. While Wednesday, 20 April, and Thursday, 21 April, will be high pollen, Friday and Saturday should be easier for sufferers with medium pollen predicted.
