Nottingham Traffic lights fail at busy A610 Nuthall Island

Traffic lights at a busy Nottingham road have failed and could not be fixed for over two hours. The traffic signal failures at the A610, 16002 and B600 at Nuthall Island in Nottingham have been caused by an area power failure.

Nottingham Travelwise said it expects the issue will be fixed by 9.30am today, Tuesday, July 4. The area is popular will commuters and is often a busy route.

The island links Eastwood, Kimberley and Gitlbrook with the city centre. In a tweet, Nottingham Travelwise said: "Traffic signal failure: A610 / A6002 / B600 Nuthall Island. Signals out due to area power failure - estimated restore time 09:30."

Commuters have also reported the issue and said that the failure is causing some disruption on the road.
