Howdy partners - grab your cowboy boots and Stetson as Hooters brings a taste of the US of A to Nottingham. The restaurant and bar is holding an American-themed county fair next month.
There will be a chance to test out your cowboy skills on a mechanical rodeo bull and take part in a wing eating contest. But make sure you're on your best behaviour as there's a new sheriff in town with an American cop car.
Members of the UK Cornhole League will be giving tips on how to play the classic US game of throwing bean bags through the hole of a raised board. Food on sale will include County Fair favourites such as corn dogs and candy floss and to satisfy that sweet tooth you can get your hands on the supersize doughnuts from Nottingham's own Doughnotts, washed down by ice cold drinks served by the Hooters' girls.

There will also be live music from country music artist Mike Wallace, children's activities including face painting and a raffle with lots of prizes up for grabs.
The charity fun day will be taking place on Sunday July 9 from 12pm to 4pm at the restaurant on London Road. Funds raised will be donated to Maggie's, the cancer support centre in the grounds of Nottingham City Hospital. Julian Mills, Hooters' director, said: "It's the first time we've done this and hopefully we can raise some funds for charity."
Helping to stage the event is Mark Lunn, of America-UK.com, promoting all things American in the UK. Mark, who works with Hooters to organise their American Car Shows throughout the year, said: "It will be a fun-filled event for all of the family. Visitors are welcome to wear country and western outfits to really get into the spirit of things but it is not required."
