With 2023 on the horizon, a lot of us will be shunning our oven and picking up our mobiles in favour of a takeaway. New Year's Eve often proves one of the busiest nights of the year for Nottingham's takeaway business.
Whether it's a curry, pizza or fish and chips, it's fair to say the city has your back. So, before you tap open your Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat app, take a look at what the best options are in Nottingham, according to TripAdvisor.
The list, compiled from information on the online travel company's website, includes businesses with food made to order as well as eateries who offer delivery as an option. They are all listed as open on New Year's Eve.

Kayal
This Indian restaurant, situated in Broad Street in Hockley, is rated at 4.5 out of five with a total of more than 1,200 reviews. Dish prices are estimated to reach up to £20 and, unsurprisingly, the reviews left are not short of praise.
One reviewer said it "brings back so many fabulous foody memories" of his time travelling in India.
Nawaab Saab
With an impressive five out of five from 700 plus reviews, Nawaab Saab has plenty of admirers. The Indian restaurant in Nottingham Road has a slightly higher price range of £15 to £35 according to Trip Advisor but has been labelled the "best curry in town" by one recent review.
Another, who visited the restaurant itself, went one further and called it the best Indian restaurant in the Midlands.
Oakdale Chippy
Found in Bakersfield, this chippy is by far and away the best rated by TripAdvisor's website in Nottingham. Whilst not located in the city centre, customers are able to make their order through Just Eat.
When one of our reporters visited for a review earlier this year he described the cod as having a "five star worthy taste".
Son of Steak
One of the best rated restaurants in all of Nottingham according to TripAdvisor, Son of Steak also offer a takeaway service. Hungry customers can order flat irons, burgers and puddings through Just Eat from the Trinity Square-based steakhouse.
"One of us had steak which was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, we also had two burgers one was beef which was topped with steak pieces and onion loaf with beef dripping sauce which was to die for," wrote one recent reviewer.
The Cumin Restaurant
Another Indian restaurant to make the top 10 is The Cumin Restaurant. Based in Maid Marian Way, the eatery has been reviewed more than 2,000 times and comes out with a glowing 4.5 out of five.
With prices between £25 and £30, one reviewer described the food as "Punjabi perfection".
Pistachio
Pistachio, based in Hockley, is a restaurant that offers modern Persian cuisine. Prices range from £4 to £18 at the eatery, which offers takeaways.
One reviewer described it as "unreal" and a "hidden gem". "This was simply the perfect meal," he added.
Masala Junction
A restaurant that was close to closing before a last-minute intervention earlier this year, Masala Junction is regarded as one of the best Indian restaurants around.
One reviewer, who said it was the best Indian in Nottingham, said: "Having tried various Indian restaurants in and around Nottingham I'm usually underwhelmed, so delighted to be charmed by this place."
Himalayan Inn
More than 220 reviewers awarded five stars to this Nepalese restaurant, situated just outside the city in Front Street, Arnold.
Himalayan Inn is available to order via both Just Eat and Deliveroo, with dish prices estimated at a reasonable £12 to £16. One customer summed it up as: "Authentic taste. Good value."
BOHNS Best Burgers
This burger restaurant, tucked away under BrewDog in Broad Street, is rated at five stars after almost 200 reviews. Its reputation was further beefed up earlier this year when it was named England's best burger bar by Food Awards England.
"I don't usually eat burgers, but these were delicious," said one TripAdvisor reviewer.
Colombo Street
A restaurant that claims to bring authentic Sri Lankan flavours to the UK, reviews would suggest it is doing a very good job. The restaurant in Adams Walk has 4.5 out of five
One review reads: "Really recommend this for a taste of Sri Lanka."
