A group of Nottingham neighbours fear the city's 'red-light district' has expanded close to their homes. People living near Radford Road said they avoid leaving their homes at night and that they can hear "shouting throughout the night".
Forest Road West, in Forest Fields, was 'notoriously' known as Nottingham's red-light district, but people in Hyson Green say they are now seeing incidents in their community.
Latif Sajad, a business owner on Radford Road, said he takes on taxi driving shifts over weekends. The 75-year-old added: "I see many police cars all the time on Bentinck Road. I am almost never outside to see what is going on.

"It happened before when I was driving around the area, on the top of the road [Radford Road] though. A woman stopped me and asked if she could get in.
"I asked what she was doing - she told me 'I am doing business'.
"It is definitely happening in the area. I know that women were usually on Forest Road West, and people would stop their cars 'to do business' with them."
He added: "That means it has expanded here now then. It has been going for some time."
Madar Zaman, a long-term resident in Hyson Green, added: "We are aware that this is part of the red-light district. It is known for that.
"We do not leave the house at night. We always hear shouting throughout the night."
The 62-year-old said: "I just do not come out in the evening and try to stay away from trouble. I do not think it is very nice that it is happening in Hyson Green because there are many religious people living here.
"We try to avoid the hotspots as much as we can. We keep ourselves to ourselves."
Fatima Choundhury lives on Bentinck Road. The 54-year-old said she saw sex workers before in Hyson Green.
She added: "My friend dropped me off one time and I saw some women in the street. We also hear people shouting at night.
"I do not go out and about at night anyway - it is not safe. We have seen people doing drugs in the area as well - it is known for that.
"I have not seen sex workers on Bentinck Road - more down the road and on Radford Road. And of course, you see it all the time on Forest Road West."
Nottinghamshire Police has stressed that any incidents should be reported to the force. Neighbourhood Inspector Ben Lawrence said: “Prostitution has decreased over the last 10 years in the area since the taskforce was implemented. The taskforce work with outreach projects to safeguard sex workers but to provide enforcement around the anti-social behaviour associated with it.
“Nottinghamshire Police takes the issues of residents very seriously and the taskforce continues to work alongside the neighbourhood policing team to work in the area to solve local issues. If any residents have any concerns, then please get in touch so we can help.”
