Nottingham Luminarium light display temporarily stopped due to concerns over heat

A light show art installation was forced to stop for three hours due to fears over the temperature inside the installation. Lakeside Gallery and Architects of Air who are responsible for the Luminarium made quick adjustments to the structure which has since allowed it to operate safely.

The operators announced on Facebook that the structure had reached the 'limit for safe operating temperatures inside the Luminarium.' This had led to the giant inflatable artwork being temporarily delayed in the middle of Highfield Park. Customers were encouraged to contact Lakeside for refunds.

They wrote: "Unfortunately, we have reached the limit for safe operating temperatures inside the luminarium. We have therefore temporarily stopped admission to Dodecalis and will deflate the structure until the temperature reduces. Please keep watching social media for updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding in these extreme conditions."
