Nottingham heroes work around full-time jobs to collect hundreds of Ukraine donations

Nottingham volunteers working around full-time jobs to collect donations to send to Ukrainians say they can’t believe how many people have donated at such short notice.

In only a matter of days, volunteers have used the Sneinton Community Hub, the building where TRACS and the Sneinton Hermitage Centre are now based, on Sneinton Boulevard to collect for people affected by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

Volunteers started collecting donations on Thursday, March 3, and within just six days the hub is now filled with hundreds of essential items in piles of boxes.
