It’s the big one on Saturday. A hotly-anticipated East Midlands derby as Nottingham Forest host arch-rivals Derby County at the City Ground.
Steve Cooper’s side will be out to make it back-to-back league wins, having triumphed at Millwall last time out thanks to Lewis Grabban’s dramatic last-minute goal.
But the head coach has some big selection decisions to make ahead of the lunchtime showdown, as the play-off-chasing Reds aim to continue their charge up the Championship table.
Winger Philip Zinckernagel came off the bench to play a key part in helping to claim three points at The Den last weekend.
The Dane had dropped out of the starting line-up as the only change to the XI which had seen off Arsenal in the FA Cup, with Grabban coming into the team in his place.
Did the Watford loanee do enough in his cameo appearance to stake a claim to return to the side against the Rams, though?
If so, that could mean January signing Keinan Davis missing out. However, the front man has done well in his two appearances so far, offering Forest something different up front, so it would be a tough call.
It had been a somewhat frustrating afternoon for Brennan Johnson in the capital prior to combining with Zinckernagel to set up the winner.
Always capable of making something happen even on days where not at his best, it would also be difficult to leave the youngster out.
It’s unlikely there will be too many changes to the team, though, if everyone is fit and available.
Cooper admitted last week that it could take time for new signing Richie Laryea to get up to speed, which may well mean Jack Colback continuing at left wing-back. Max Lowe is getting closer to making a comeback, however.
Defenders Rodrigo Ely and Loic Mbe Soh have also been making progress in their recovery from injury.
Predicted Forest XI: Samba; Worrall, Cook, McKenna; Spence, Garner, Yates, Colback; Johnson, Grabban, Zinckernagel.
