Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool prediction and odds ahead of Premier League clash

Liverpool will be looking to maintain their winning form as they prepare for a trip to the City Ground for the first time in the Premier League since April 1999. Jurgen Klopp's side have picked up back-to-back league wins for the first time since August and will be looking to maintain that form as they look to climb up the table as quickly as possible.

The Reds are the heavy favourites in this tie at 1/4 with Betfred while Forest are 11/1 and a draw is 11/2. However, the City Ground is somewhat of a banana-skin for the visitors having never won there in the Premier League in five visits picking up three draws and two defeats.

Steve Cooper will be looking for another positive result as the Forest boss managed to pick up two points from a possible 15 in his last five league outings. Forest ended their five-match losing streak with a draw at Villa Park and against at the Amex on Tuesday against a solid Brighton & Hove Albion side but were able to pick up a clean sheet despite the constant threat form Roberto De Zerbi's side.

Betting angles

Liverpool have finished nine of their 14 matches with both teams scoring in the same match including six from their 10 Premier League matches and two in their last five in all competitions. For Forest, it is four in 12 in all competitions with all of them happening in the league and two in their last five too. Both teams to score is evens.

The Reds average 9.9 total corners in the Premier League which is the league average and only three teams better them in this stat - Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton - plus have finished three of their last five matches in all competitions over 10.5 total corners. Also, in all but five matches this season, the visitors have finished with over 7.5 team corners. Over 9.5 total corners is 4/7 and Liverpool to achieve over 7.5 team corners is 11/10.

In the Premier League, Liverpool have finished six of their 10 Premier League matches with three or more goals while for Forest it is four in 11. Over 2.5 total goals is 1/2.

Player to watch

While it is safe to say Liverpool have been frustratingly below average this season, I am expecting Mo Salah to hit the ground running after getting the winner at Man City. The Egyptian has been rather disappointing since the start of the season despite picking up three goals and three assists in the Premier League this season. He is 4/6 to score anytime.
