'Monitoring' forgotten Man Utd man
Nottingham Forest are monitoring Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek's situation amid a potential summer departure, it is reported.
That's according to 90min who claim that the Dutchman's representatives have been "in discussions" with a number of clubs. The 26-year-old played just seven times last season before suffering a knee injury in January that ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Aside from that, Van de Beek has struggled to cement a regular place in the team since joining from Ajax in 2020.
Rivals 'enter final negotiations' for target
Nottingham Forest look set to miss out on the signing of free agent Alexander Djiku, it is reported.
The defender had been on the lookout for a new challenge after leaving Strasbourg upon the expiration of his contract last month. Forest were reportedly facing competition from Lille, Villarreal and Fenerbahce.
The Reds had "put forward a proposal" as Steve Cooper looks to strengthen at the back this summer. According to L'Equipe, Forest and Fenerbahce were claimed to be in the "best position" to land the player.
Renan Lodi decision made
Renan Lodi is said to be training with Atletico Madrid’s academy players amid claims Nottingham Forest want to bring him back to the City Ground.
The 25-year-old Brazilian defender played a key role as the Reds clinched survival in the Premier League on their return to the top-flight last season.
On loan from Atletico for the entire campaign, Lodi played in 28 league games and proved to be a big hit at the club before returning to Spain at the end of the campaign.
Competition for Man City wonderkid
Nottingham Forest face competition from Southampton for transfer target Carlos Borges of Manchester City, it has been claimed.
Forest have been linked with a move for 19-year-old winger Borges, who is set to be valued at around £11million by City. Despite having little senior experience to his name, Borges has caught the eye with his stunning performances for the Citizens' under-21 side.
It has been reported that Borges is on a transfer shortlist at Forest for the current window, though talks have not taken place between the two clubs over a possible move. Their interest may now heat up, with the Daily Mail reporting that Southampton are 'keen on' a move for the youngster.
