Nottingham Forest could find themselves in the middle of a transfer battle, with three clubs said to be interested in taking Alex Mighten on loan before the end of the transfer window.
The 20-year-old has found himself falling down the pecking order at the City Ground this season, after a busy summer of transfer activity which has seen a number of players arrive at the club. The winger’s only league appearance so far this season came in the opening day 2-0 loss against Newcastle United, where he entered the pitch for the last seven minutes.
Mighten did start the 3-0 League Cup win over Grimsby on Tuesday night, but could move away from Forest on a temporary basis in order to get more regular game time. It seems there will be no shortage of suitors for the player should Forest decide to let him go.

According to the Star , League One side Sheffield Wednesday ‘admire’ the youngster. But they face competition from fellow League One side Ipswich Town and Scottish side Hearts, who are able to offer a taste of European football this season.
Reports linking Mighten to Scotland emerged earlier this week, with manager Robbie Nielson said to be keen on a move for the Forest man. It now seems that the Scottish side may face more competition than first anticipated.
Talking about Mighten earlier this summer, Steve Cooper hinted that he could play a part in the Premier League this season. “I'm a huge fan of Alex, and long-term, will not let him down. I didn't give him enough minutes last year, for obvious reasons, and sometimes including he had bad luck with injuries,” he said .
"But we have drawn a line under that. He's come back looking good. And he's one of us, isn't he?”
