The agent of Fortuna Dusseldorf defender Jamil Siebert has confirmed that there has been contact from Nottingham Forest regarding the player ahead of the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan with German third division side Viktoria Koln, where he has been since back in January.
The youngster has caught the eye with his performances for his loan club, with German outlet Kicker reporting that both Forest and Italian side AS Roma ‘have their eye’ on the player. It means that Forest would have to beat off any potential interest from Jose Mourinho, should they decide to make a move, either in January or the summer window.

The player’s agent has confirmed the interest from both teams, telling Kicker: “The clubs got in touch and inquired about the contractual situation."
The report also carries a quote from the head coach of the player’s loan club, Olaf Janßen, who said: “Jamil is under contract with us until the summer. I’m not going to worry about it now.”
Siebert is under contract with Fortuna Dussledorf until 2025, meaning that the club could be due a significant fee should they decide to sell in an upcoming season. There would, however, need to be a recall option in the player’s loan deal with Viktoria Koln in order for a January deal to be completed.
The youngster has played a total of 16 times this season, scoring once. He also has six caps for the German U20 side with his latest appearance coming earlier this month in a 1-0 loss against Portugal.
