Striker Michy Batshuayi has “agreed” to sign for Fenerbahce, after a deadline day move to Nottingham Forest collapsed.
The Reds had made a late push to sign the 28-year-old from Chelsea before Thursday’s 11pm cut-off. However, the deal failed to go through, with the Blues said to have not sent the relevant paperwork in time.
Batshuayi is still set to be on the move this summer, however. Fenerbahce have announced he will link up with them, subject to passing a medical.

The Turkish outfit said in a statement: “Our club has made an agreement with the club for the transfer of Michy Batshuayi to our team. The football player comes to Istanbul to make the interviews, pass the health check and advance the process.”
Forest made 21 signings in the summer window, with Willy Boly, Loic Bade and Josh Bowler all penning terms on deadline day. The latter immediately went on loan to fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side Olympiacos.
Full-back Serge Aurier is still expected to join Steve Cooper’s side, to take the number of additions to 22. As the defender is a free agent, his move could be completed after the deadline.
In addition to Boly, Bade and Bowler, the Reds have brought in Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Giulian Biancone, Moussa Niakhate, Omar Richards, Neco Williams, Wayne Hennessey, Brandon Aguilera, Harry Toffolo, Lewis O'Brien, Jesse Lingard, Orel Mangala, Emmanuel Dennis, Cheikhou Kouyate, Remo Freuler, Morgan Gibbs-White, Hwang Ui-jo and Renan Lodi. As with Bowler, Aguilera and Ui-jo headed out on loan after putting pen to paper.
