Gibbs-White reveals Southampton plan
Morgan Gibbs-White has provided an insight into how Nottingham Forest beat Southampton in their thrilling 4-3 win at the City Ground on Monday evening.
The Reds opened up a 2-0 lead on the night after a Taiwo Awoniyi brace, but the Saints responded through Carlos Alcaraz to make it 2-1. Then, just before half-time Forest were awarded a penalty as Gibbs-White stepped up to restore the Reds' two-goal advantage.
Lyanco gave Ruben Selles' team hope as his header made it 3-2 but after Forest withstood some pressure, Danilo continued his fine form to open up a 4-2 lead. A late James Ward-Prowse penalty ensured it was a nervy finish, but Steve Cooper's side clung on for a vital three points.
In the aftermath of Forest's victory, Gibbs-White has opened up on how they approached the game.

Jeff Stelling’s ‘special’ Forest verdict
Sky Sports host Jeff Stelling has heaped praise on Nottingham Forest fans after the Reds' 4-3 win over Southampton on Monday night.
Steve Cooper's side climbed out of the Premier League bottom three with just three games left as they look to secure their top-flight status.
If Forest stay up at the end of the campaign, a significant reason will be their home form with the Reds having lost just five times at the City Ground in the league. Conversely, they have only won once away from home.
The home support near the banks of the River Trent has no doubt pushed Forest on in recent weeks having beaten Brighton and Brentford in their last two matches on home turf.
Jamie Carragher sets points target
Former Liverpool man Jamie Carragher has predicted that one more win for Nottingham Forest could see them secure their Premier League status for another season.
A tense 4-3 home win over Southampton on Monday night moved Steve Cooper ’s men out of the bottom three and above Leeds, Leicester and Everton in the table. The result came after the Toffees had pulled off a shock 5-1 win at Brighton a couple of hours earlier.
The big losers of the day were Leicester, who fell to a 5-3 defeat at Fulham. The Foxes now sit two points adrift of safety ahead of their final three games of the season.
Nottingham Forest told to target ambitious transfer
Nottingham Forest should push for a summer move for James Ward-Prowse 'when' they say in the Premier League .
That is the verdict of Reds legend Garry Birtles, who is in no doubt his old club will stay in the Premier League after their 4-3 win over Southampton on Monday.
Birtles was at the City Ground to witness Ward-Prowse cause chaos in the Forest back four with his dead ball deliveries as the Reds held on for a win that took them three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
The result also all but relegated Southampton, meaning England international Ward-Prowse will be a man in demand at the end of the season.
