Nottingham Forest survival rally cry issued as Liverpool errors to be 'addressed'

Nottingham Forest will address the individual errors which are proving so costly in their survival fight behind closed doors.

But head coach Steve Cooper has stressed the importance of remaining united to aid the Reds' bid to get out of trouble. And he was pleased his players did that in their 3-2 defeat to Liverpool - with supporters also playing a key part.

Forest did not look like a side which has suffered from travel sickness all season as they twice came from behind to equalise at Anfield. However, they were undone by some careless defending at set-pieces as an 11th game without a win saw them drop to 19th in the table.

"They were individual errors. But you haven't ever heard me talk about individuals," said Cooper, whose team host Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday. "I will only talk about the collective and the team - I believe in that. Behind closed doors obviously we address things.

"We win and lose together. It's never been more key to stay together than it is now.

"You saw a real together team out there. You didn't see a team that looks like it's been on the run that it's on - and in one of the most difficult away games you can play at club level.

"We have to use the frustration of not getting the result we could have got and why it happened, because of the set-plays. But also use some of the decent things and good things we did, put them together and keep going.

"What we are trying to do is stick together. You saw a real togetherness in the group. You saw a real good connection with the supporters; because we were attacking where they were in the second half, once we got in and around the box, it became a difficult place for Liverpool to defend. We've got to keep that and take it into Wednesday."
