Nottingham Forest striker sends fans message after transfer

Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor took to social media to send fans a message after his loan move to Birmingham City.

The 31-year-old joined fellow Championship side for the remainder of the season as he reunited with Lee Bowyer, his former manager at Charlton Athletic.

"I am here to be of use to the team, to the Football Club and to score as many goals as I possibly can," he told Blues club media. "I am looking forward to getting started - the sooner I can get off the mark, the better for me and everyone here.

"I have played plenty of games across the years and ultimately, my job is to score goals. I am really looking forward to getting going."

Taylor had fallen down the pecking order at the City Ground following the arrival of Keinan Davis from Aston Villa and the form of Lewis Grabban.

Blues are 18th placed in the Championship on 32 points after eight wins and he could be in contention to start at Pride Park when Bowyer's side face Derby County this weekend.

Upon his arrival at the West Midlands club, he left a message to the Reds faithful on Instagram: "Thank you Reds. Good luck for the rest of the season."
