Nottingham Forest loanee left-back Renan Lodi has received a recall to the Brazil national team for the first time in almost a year.
Since arriving at the City Ground late last month, the 24-year-old has started the Reds ' last two Premier League matches against Manchester City and Bournemouth. Head coach Steve Cooper is again expected to stick with Lodi on the left for Friday night's visit of Fulham in the final match before joining up with the national team.
This represents a first call-up since last November when the defender was an unused substitute for a pair of South American World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Colombia. You have to go all the way back to that year's Copa América final in July for his last cap, starting against Lionel Messi and company before being replaced by Tottenham Hotspur's Emerson Royal in the second half.
