Wales full-back Neco Williams has dedicated his World Cup debut to his grandad, just days after he passed away.

The Nottingham Forest summer signing was named in Rob Page’s starting line-up for Monday night’s Group B game against USA. Wales found themselves 1-0 down at the break thanks to a goal from Timothy Weah.

But an 82nd minute penalty from Gareth Bale drew the nation level. The 1-1 draw saw Wales take a point from their first World Cup game since 1958, as they now gear up to face Iran in their second group game on Friday, before facing England four days later.
