Nottingham Forest fans have responded to reports that former Swansea City forward Andre Ayew is ‘in talks’ to join the club.
The 33-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Qatari club Al-Sadd at the end of last month. Reports emerged on deadline day that he was travelling back to England in order to talk to a club.
Everton were one of the teams named, with the Toffees’ new manager Sean Dyche keen to add to his squad having missed out on a number of transfer targets in January. They were the only club in the Premier League not to make a signing in the transfer window.

But it now seems that Forest are competing with Everton to sign Ayew, who can sign as a free agent outside of the transfer window. The Athletic report that the Reds are ‘in talks’ with the forward over a potential deal.
Should he join, he will become the 30th new arrival at the City Ground since the end of last season. Steve Cooper has been busy over the last two windows as he shapes his squad for the Premier League.
Following the reports, Forest fans took to social media to give their reaction. Here’s what just some had to say.
Jonny Antcliffe : Would anyone take Andre Ayew over Dennis? He's worked with Cooper before at Swansea & was there talisman. Good experience, played at the World Cup, still a decent player although 33. 6 month contract till the end of the season maybe?
#NFFC
Alan Breach : Cooper likes him and that’s good enough for me
Wynbot : Worth signing him for the rest of season even if it’s just to stop Everton or West Ham getting him
Andrew Chard : If #NFFC bring in Ayew, this suggests that Dennis is certainly going somewhere, I cannot imagine he would just get dropped from the 25
Connor : Surely noone we would remove from 25 for him
Dan James : He’s an ex cooper man. Never fancied him myself but thankfully I’m not the boss! Trusting the process
Freddie Place : Yes so he doesn’t go to a rival
Jon : If Cooper wants him and the finances work, and if we’ve got space in the last 25, then why not on a short term deal…
