Nottingham Forest have had a bid rejected for Salernitana midfielder Lassana Coulibaly, according to a report.
It was said that Forest tabled an offer last week as the club look to continue their extensive recruitment drive which saw 23 players signed in the summer transfer window.
Forest have already announced the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Gustavo Scarpa ahead of the January market opening, with a host of players already being linked to the football club in recent months and weeks.

Coulibaly, 26, could be the next through the door at the City Ground, though The Sun say Serie A club Salernitana are holding out for a bid of £8.5million for their star midfielder. Given how prolific Evangelos Marinakis and his recruitment staff were in the summer, it seems a fee they would be willing to rise to.
Their opening bid may have been one to test the waters, and it seems to have done just that after Italian outlet Le Cronache reported Salernitana sporting director Morgan De Sanctis was "not tempted" by the opening bid.
Coulibably has been a regular for Salernitana in Serie A after breaking into their team last season. He has made 14 league appearances this term, with 31 outings last season.
The ball-winning midfielder has flourished in the last 18 months after loan spells at Rangers and Cercle Brugge. He also has 31 caps for Mali on the international stage.
