Nottingham Forest have 'raised their interest' in Real Betis star Alex Moreno by submitting an improved bid, according to reports.
Forest saw an opening bid rebuffed by Betis last month, with the Spanish side said to be holding out for a fee of around €20 million (£16m). According to ABC Sevilla, the Reds have now increased their offer to £6.3m though it may still not be sufficient, given the Copa del Rey winners are demanding £16m for a player with three years left on his current deal.
If the Reds are able to strike a deal, Moreno will be another option for Steve Cooper alongside Harry Toffolo, Omar Richards and potentially Remo Freuler. Richards however, is currently sidelined with injury.

Moreno has been a regular in Manuel Pellegrini's team since his switch 2019, contributing with 45 appearances in all competitions last year, scoring five goals and assisting four times.
Cooper, meanwhile, is keen to bring in more additions to bolster his squad options ahead of a demanding Premier League campaign. He said: "Of course we need more players to come in, there's no doubt about that."
