Nottingham Forest may have not surprised too many with their comfortable 4-1 win over holders Leicester City in the FA Cup at the weekend.
It is clear that the Reds have come a long way since the appointment of Steve Cooper back in September - having gone from being bottom of the Championship table to now being in a position to challenge for a play-off spot.
They do, though, have a tough run of fixtures coming up, with away trips to Blackburn Rovers, Bournemouth and Preston North End before the end of the month.
BT Sport and BBC Radio Five Live commentator Darren Fletcher believes games against promotion hopefuls Blackburn and Bournemouth are nothing to be concerned about, should they lose points.
Speaking in this week's Garibaldi Red podcast, Fletcher explained why Cooper and Co should not pin their hopes on those games in particular...
"There's about 50 points left to play for, it's a lot of points, if Forest get 50 points, they'll win the league," he said.
"So everything is still on the table but what they won't do is make too much of Bournemouth and Blackburn, there's a lot of games left to get the points.
"This league is about momentum and he [Steve Cooper] knows that from his time at Swansea where you can come from off the pace, we've seen it time and time again.
"What doesn't need to happen now is too much to be read into, Blackburn and Bournemouth. I mean the big challenge for the Blackburn game is to not be after the Lord Mayor show, the big high of Sunday - how often do you see a team going to another game and they can't quite get back to their level? So that's the challenge for Steve and the players.
"But all of those teams around the play-offs, there will be a few of them, two or three of them that at some stage this season win seven out of eight and that will get you into the play-offs, and won't matter who it's against. You'll win seven out of eight, six out of seven and you'll cement it.
"They've got to have that ability just to kind of compartmentalise everything and say look, big picture here is that there's a lot of games left, there's enough points available for probably 15 teams to get into the play-offs at this stage and Forest at the moment, you wouldn't want to swap places with too many, in Forest position in terms of momentum, players.
"You're also going to get moments later in the season where you get [Lewis] Grabban back, moving towards that business end of the season, you get your captain back, it's massive if they can get through to that point.
"So, I get it, I'm keyed up about Blackburn and I'm keyed up about Bournemouth as well because we want to see that we can beat these teams but the reality is, there's so many games left, that they need a run at some stage that gives them that momentum to get into the play-offs and cement it.
"If it's not this week, it might be next week or the week after because you never know, this bonkers division when that's going to be.
"I know we're trying to find it hard to buy in because we're Forest supporters and it's been a while, but I think if you look at it through honest eyes, we've got as good a chance as anybody at the moment, not called Fulham but anybody else in the division.
"If I'm Scott Parker, having just signed four Premier League players on deadline day with a bunch of parachute payment money then get done by Boreham wood, I'm frightened because you're thinking, has that affected the equilibrium.
"Going back to Steve's point where he said, look we're not going to bring in players we don't need because it's going to have a detrimental affect on others.
"If you bring in four players from the Premier League, the lads who have been playing all season and got you into the play-offs are now thinking, hang on a minute, what's happening here. The centre backs are thinking so Nat Phillips is rolling in from Liverpool, that's me then - it can be a bit of a boat rocker.
"You don't know what impact Steve Bruce is going to have on that group at West Brom, he won't be the first manager that has gone in there and found it difficult to work with that group, it's happened on more than one occasion.
"Blackburn have just lost a couple of games, have they had their run, can they get back on track and go again, it's hard. It's difficult, you can't win every week unless you're Fulham.
"This is going to go right down to the end, I've got a feeling that Forest are the kind of team that can get momentum and (Sunday) performance is the kind of thing that can get it for you because they're got players with not only an abundance of enthusiasm when they've got the ball - you talk about [Djed] Spence and [Brennan] Johnson and people like that, it's infectious to watch, it must be infectious to be a part of.
"If you see Johnson making that run, you wanna run like he does, if you see Spence bombing down the right and you're low on the left, you wanna do the same thing - it's infectious, you want to be that guy.
"I also think as well, they're the kind of team that they've got players in there, [Philip] Zinckernagel is one of them who can hit a vein of form, he gets five goals in eight games and all of a sudden you're thinking, hang on a second, we're all in here again now so it is quite infectious and they've got that youthful naivety as well, you're 21, 20, 19, you don't fear anything at this stage, and every time you go out it's going to be like that and it can carry you a long way as well.
"So it's heading in the right direction, all the fans have got to do at this point is keep feeling the place, signing the songs and that just makes it so hard to come and win at the City Ground, that's for sure."
