Forest told defender's price tag

Nottingham Forest are said to be facing competition for Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos as they look to strengthen their squad.

A bid of 10 million euros (£8.5m) was previously reported as being in the offing by the Reds. But it seems interest in the centre-back has only increased as the transfer window has progressed.

Fulham are now said to be keen on Mavropanos, according to German newspaper Bild (via Sport Witness). The player also has admirers in the Bundesliga and in Italy, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Napoli having been tracking him for some time. West Ham United had previously been credited with an interest.

Fresh bid for winger

Nottingham Forest are preparing to make another offer for Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu, it has been claimed.

Forest saw an initial bid of €11million (£9.5m) for the Turkey international rejected this week. The bid was deemed "very low" by the Super Lig outfit, reports in Turkey claimed.

However, the Reds are not willing to give up on the 24-year-old who is open to the idea of playing in the English top-flight. It is said Akturkoglu "wants to go" to the Premier League but "respects" Galatasaray's decision to reject Forest's offer.

Forest striker added to wishlist

Ipswich Town are reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest striker Sam Surridge.

Following their promotion to the Championship, Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna is understood to be prioritising signing a new striker this summer. According to our colleagues at the Daily Mirror, Ipswich have added Surridge to their wish list.

But they are not the only second division side to be credited with an interest in the Forest man. He adds that Everton frontman Ellis Simms still remains as a target for McKenna, while interest for Portsmouth's striker Colby Bishop has cooled.

Important new membership update

Nottingham Forest have revealed details about their membership scheme for the new season.

The Reds will be playing a second successive campaign in the top-flight after avoiding relegation with a game to spare in 2022/23. Steve Cooper's side return to action away at Arsenal on August 12 when the new season begins.

And ahead of another campaign of Premier League football at the City Ground, Forest have confirmed details about their membership scheme for 2023/24.
