Former Nottingham Forest forward Darren Huckerby has responded to reports linking Rafa Benitez to the Nottingham Forest job should Steve Cooper depart.
Reports emerged that the Spaniard could be the "potential replacement" after Cooper was described as being "on the brink of losing his job" following the 4-0 humbling at Leicester City. Forest have now lost five in a row and are now rock bottom of the Premier League table.
The Reds were busy in the summer transfer window, signing 22 players, though they have struggled to gel together and that has so far reflected on the pitch. But Huckerby, who had a loan spell at the City Ground in 2003, responded to the reports that Cooper could lose his job by posting on Twitter: "Absolutely ridiculous if true.

"Cooper has been given an impossible job, integrate 23 new players when you probably didn't pick half of them yourself! Premier League is brutal enough for any team coming up!"
Forest will face Aston Villa at the City Ground next Monday (October 10).
