Free agent striker Andre Ayew is undergoing a medical at Nottingham Forest after turning down Premier League rivals Everton.
The 33-year-old is without a club following his exit from Qatari outfit Al Sadd and is closing in on a short-term deal with Forest, according to the PA news agency.
Ayew looks set to become Forest's 29th signing since promotion back to the Premier League last May, and follows deadline day signings Felipe, Jonjo Shelvey and Keylor Navas through the City Ground doors.

Nottingham Forest are continuing their recruitment drive despite the transfer window being shut as they are set to sign free agent Andre Ayew.
Head coach Steve Cooper has worked with Ayew at Swansea so knows exactly what he is getting. Ayew will also be able to provide competition to the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi and Sam Surridge up front.
Ayew returns to the Premier League after a previous spell with West Ham from 2016 to 2018, where he scored 18 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.
His arrival at Forest comes as a blow to Premier League rivals Everton, where new boss Sean Dyche was hoping to add more firepower up front as they battle to steer clear of relegation to the Championship.
