Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Ethan Horvath has been sent a message by fictional US football coach Ted Lasso ahead of the World Cup.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan with Championship side Luton Town from the City Ground. He has been named in USA’s World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar.
Ahead of the nation’s group B opener against Wales tonight (Monday), Lasso has put a message on a Billboard in Colorado. The TV programme follows a coach played by Jason Sudekis, who is hired to manage fictional English football side AFC Richmond. The show has been a hit in England and America.

As part of the build-up to the game against Wales, 26 messages have been put up for each member of the USA team from Lasso. Each with a unique message from the fictional coach.
“Ethan, You sure must have been livin' the high life in Highlands Ranch,” Horvath’s message read.
"You're practically next-door neighbors with the Rockies - a stone fortress, protecting the land. Kinda like you on the national team competing in the games of games.
“You’re the rock and a hard place. Ain't nothing is gonna get past you.
"You'll be takin' down scissors and paper. I mean, paper really has no business beating rock in the first place, like y'all have never heard of paperweights?
“One thing I know rock solid, nobody’s gonna cross Mt. Horvath.
"Ready to rock. Ted Lasso.”
Following the game against Wales, USA take on England and Iran in the remaining group B games. The match against England takes place on Friday, while they take on Iran on Tuesday, 29, November.
