Nottingham Forest right-back Fin Back is facing up to four months on the sidelines through injury.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at League Two side Carlisle United, where he has played in 17 of 19 league games so far this season. After an impressive start to the season, the Forest youngster has received an unfortunate setback.
His loan club are awaiting the results of a second scan on his hamstring injury before confirming the amount of time he will be unavailable for. They fear it could be up to four months, ruling him out until the end of March.

"I'm waiting to hear today," Carlisle boss Paul Simpson told the News & Star. "He’s going for another scan and a second opinion on it, because as it stands we’re looking at possibly three or four months, but I’m hoping there might be better news – we’ve just got to wait and see.”
While as yet unconfirmed, it could be the case that Back returns to Forest for treatment on his injury. The right-back, who has been playing in a wing-back role for Carlisle, is under contract at the City Ground until the summer of 2024.
Back came through the academy at Forest, having signed up as an eight-year-old in 2011. This season marks his first loan spell away from the club and his first major injury setback as a professional.
