Nottingham Forest’s talented defender Joe Worrall is a possible summer target for Leicester City, it has been claimed.
The 25-year-old defensive mainstay is currently making his own bid for Premier League football with his home town club who are in pole position to make the Championship play-off final, with Forest just two games away from a top flight return.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers, meanwhile, is desperate to sort out his defensive issues and, according to the The Sun, has Worrall on his radar as a possible summer capture at the King Power Stadium.

Their East Midlands neighbours, however, are hoping to keep their best players together at the City Ground, particularly if they gain promotion back to the top flight this month.
Steve Cooper’s men beat Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane on Saturday in the first leg of their play-off semi-final, and if they make it through the second leg and go on to win the final then Worrall is likely to stay to fulfil his dream of playing in the top flight.
If they fail, Forest know a player or two will have to be sold – and both Worrall and star attacking force Brennan Johnson would bring in the cash needed to balance the books, claims the report by Alan Nixon.
Worrall, who has become a mainstay of Forest’s defence in recent seasons, signed a four year extension in 2020, meaning he won’t come cheap with two years left on his current deal.
But the Foxes are desperate to shore up their rear guard after a disappointing season by their recent standards that has seen ship 56 goals so far in the top division with three games to go. Last season City conceded 50 overall for their league campaign.
