Nottingham Forest are said to be plotting a renewed bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Willy Boly.
Sixteen signings have come through the City Ground doors so far this summer. But the Reds are still planning to do further business, with defensive reinforcements on the agenda.
News that new arrival Moussa Niakhate is facing "a few months" on the sidelines with a hamstring injury has prompted Forest to target another centre-back. And Boly, who is yet to feature for Wolves this season, is on their radar.

An offer, said to be worth £1 million, has already been rejected for the 31-year-old. The Daily Mail report the Reds are "likely" to test the waters again by doubling that to £2m with a fresh bid - but any deal may depend on Wolves signing a replacement.
Boly has been an unused substitute in each of the first three games of the season. He made the move to Molineux from Porto on a permanent basis in 2018, following a loan spell, and has racked up 125 league appearances in total for the club.
Providing an update on Niakhate after his team's 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, boss Steve Cooper admitted the former Mainz man's absence could have an impact on Forest’s plans in the remainder of the transfer window. He said: “Maybe. We’ll see.
“I don’t think we’ll be finished with ins and outs. There’s still a bit to go.”
Niakhate was forced off during the 1-0 victory over West Ham United, in what was only his second run-out in the Garibaldi. Cooper said: “He’s out for a few months, unfortunately. We had to do another scan later in the week, and it didn’t come back too good, so he’s going to be out for a little while now.
“It’s a blow for him, because he was somebody who had settled in really well. And it’s a blow for us as well.
“But these things happen. Next man up and we crack on.”
